As a young parent I have been exposed to the determination of our community to address our needs and to support young mothers. I feel less ashamed and it has been reinforced that I should be proud. Thank you.

PRAISE FOR OUR WORK
I really value the work put into such wonderful articles in Redress. Many times my mind is opened to further issues and solutions to improving women’s workplace situations.
It is clear that the project has greatly enhanced the capacity of AWE to more effectively represent the views of its members through the website’s discussion forum; the profiling of key women within AWE; attending to the concerns of members within the Gender and Education Guidelines and LINKS sections of the website; publishing the findings of the Leading Social Change Survey; and gathering evaluative feedback from the workshops.
...Through the website and the workshops the project has greatly increased opportunities for women to access networking and professional development opportunities; improved access to information and resources for members of the AWE, educators and students; and enhanced the capacity of AWE to more effectively represent the views of its members.
I thoroughly enjoyed the seminar today. It was great to hear from some of the different organisations available to help schools learn more about gender related issues and apply this knowledge in our teaching. Personally I have gained so much from today. I arrived with what I thought was an in-depth understanding of gender issues in schools, but left with so much more.
Thank you for organising such a wonderful conference with such skilled, inspiring and motivated presenters. It was outstanding. The focus on gender based violence, language and power relations, and a focus that is informed by the fields of sexual assault and domestic violence, and underpinned by a feminist analysis, was excellent.
This is a comprehensive, user-friendly and extremely valuable learning guide and resource treasure e-chest. I’d certainly recommend it for early career educators but also for those of us who have been working in the area for a long time.
We may be feeling a little jaded, tired, or just not up-to-date with all the wonderful stuff out there. How refreshing and exciting to find all these significant projects, publications and resources readily at hand. What a wonderful resource! Thanks!
